Can Do Can Dance (Royston Maldoom)

Royston Maldoom is considered to be one of the founders of the Community Dance Movement. All around the world, he is initiating and managing dance projects for everyone’s participation, irrespective of talent, experience, age, gender, skin color, ethnic origin or social class.

In 2006 the Dr. E. A. Langner-Foundation invited Maldoom to Hamburg to choreograph and produce the dance project in Hamburg for disabled people, immigrants, seniors and elementary school students. The sold-out performance at the ‘Schauspielhaus’ received standing ovations. There were four additional performances at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater (HfMT) in Hamburg, which received equal praise. 300 people were involved in the production of this worthy project, which was supported by the Dr. E.A. Langner-Foundation with altogether EUR 45,000.00.
